A not overused footpath
We organise a programme of walks suitable for a range of abilities. Check the ‘Our Next Walks’ section on the right for further details – just click on each walk.
Check out our facebook page to see what's happening at the moment https://www.facebook.com/groups/937659660637162
We also organise social events and short breaks away.
Dogs on Walks
Since the majority of our walks involve crossing pasture land where there are, or could be, cattle or horses dogs are normally excluded.
However some walks are organised to be dog friendly and these are clearly identified in the walk details. On dog friendly walks you are welcome to bring you pet on condition that they stay on a lead, that that you clean up after you animal. Since car sharing is not feasible with a dog you would need to contact the leader to ascertain the walk start location and make you own way there.
For more information on walking with dogs, a copy of the Ramblers “Dog walking code” can be downloaded from a link on the following web page:

Glossop Holiday
Five members of our group has a two day walking holiday in the dark peak area. We were accompanied by two walkers from other groups who had seen our walks advertised on the Rambers `find a walk` site.
We were blessed with blue skies and light winds on both days.
On Sunday we started from Old Glossop and made the steep climb to Cock Hill,
We descended overlooking Torside clough

before returning by the Trans Pennine Trail which runs alongside the Rhosewood Resevoir, and which is part of the Pennine Way.
Monday’s walk started just south of Glossop (G2) and include Coombe Edge
and Slack Edge.
We then descended to Simmondley before climbing out again to whitely Nab.
Two great walks in beautiful country.
